There is something special about a community tradition that brings everyone together in one place. The Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival is one of those weekends when downtown fills with families, familiar faces, local vendors, music, carnival rides, and plenty of good food.
Whether you have lived here for years, recently moved to the area, or are thinking about making Blue Springs your home, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience the friendly, hometown feel that makes our community so inviting.
The 57th Annual Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival will take place September 18–20, 2026, in downtown Blue Springs. Admission to the festival is free, although you will want to budget for food, shopping, and carnival rides. The event is presented by Saint Luke’s East Hospital and organized by the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce.
What Is the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival?
The Fall Fun Festival is a three-day community celebration held along Main Street in downtown Blue Springs. It has been bringing people together for more than 50 years and has grown into one of the largest and most popular fall events in Eastern Jackson County.
You can expect more than 200 vendor booths, festival food, live entertainment, carnival rides, a parade, a Youth Market, a classic car show, a Beer Garden, and even a special Dog Garden on Sunday.
It is the kind of event where you can come for a couple of hours and accidentally stay most of the day. There is always another booth to browse, something happening on one of the stages, or a food stand that smells too good to pass up.
Who Will Enjoy the Fall Fun Festival?
One of the best things about this festival is that it truly offers something for just about everyone.
Families with younger children can enjoy carnival rides, the parade, sweet treats, and performances on the Community Stage. Older kids and teenagers may especially enjoy the carnival, live bands, food vendors, and walking around with their friends.
Couples can make an easy date out of browsing the vendor booths, trying a few different foods, and staying for the evening entertainment. If you are new to Blue Springs, the festival is also a fun and relaxed way to get a feel for the community and discover local businesses, organizations, performers, and makers.
Even your four-legged family members get a chance to join the fun during Sunday’s Dog Garden. Just remember that pets are not permitted throughout the general festival grounds. Dogs are welcome specifically in the Dog Garden on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The parade is a big part of Saturday’s fun. It begins at 15th and Vesper, travels north on 15th Street, turns east on R.D. Mize Road, and ends near St. John LaLande Parish. This year’s parade theme is “The Great Outdoors.”
A Quiet Zone will also be available along R.D. Mize between NW 10th Street and St. John LaLande. Parade participants will lower their volume through this area for guests who are sensitive to loud sounds.
Sunday, September 20
Festival: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Dog Garden: 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Classic Car and Bike Show: 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Carnival: 12–4 p.m.

No shuttle service on Sunday
Sunday is a nice choice if you would like a slightly shorter festival day. The car show will be located near 15th and Main Street, and the Dog Garden will be inside the Beer Garden area.
The Community Stage entertainment schedule includes local schools, dance groups, musicians, theater performers, cheer teams, and other area talent throughout all three days.
How Much Does It Cost?
Admission to the Fall Fun Festival is free. Main Stage entertainment is also free and open to all ages, even though the stage is located inside the Beer Garden.
Food, vendor purchases, and carnival rides cost extra. Carnival wristbands are $30 and are valid for a four-hour time block. Individual carnival tickets are $1 each.
I would bring a combination of cash and a card. Payment options can vary from one vendor to another, and cash is always helpful for smaller purchases.
Parking and Free Shuttle Information
Parking around the festival grounds is limited. Paid parking lots and street parking are available outside the festival area, but spaces can fill quickly. Be sure to pay attention to posted No Parking signs, especially around the parade route on Saturday.
A free, handicap-accessible shuttle will run on Friday and Saturday between:
Side Pockets/Abundant Life parking lot at 1237 Highway 7
Festival Gate 8 at Main and 8th Street
Shuttle hours are:
Friday: 5–9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Sunday: No shuttle service
Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Community Garden parking lot at 10th and Walnut and the City Hall parking lot at 10th and Main.
If you are mainly coming for Saturday’s parade, limited accessible parking is also available at St. John LaLande and First Christian Church. R.D. Mize Road will be closed to through traffic from 10 a.m. until noon during the parade.
Main Street is currently undergoing construction, but the Chamber has confirmed that the festival is still taking place as scheduled. Some festival logistics may be adjusted, making it especially helpful to check the official visitor information and festival map before leaving home.
What to Bring to the Festival
A little planning can make the day much more enjoyable. I recommend bringing:
Comfortable walking shoes
Sunscreen
A lightweight jacket for the evening
A refillable water bottle
A small bag for vendor purchases
Cash and a card
A stroller for little ones
Any necessary medications or personal items
Festival grounds are paved, stroller-friendly, and accessible from multiple entrances. Wheelchair-accessible portable restrooms are available in several areas.
Picnic tables are located at 11th and Main, but seating is first come, first served. If you are attending with children, it is also a good idea to take a quick picture of them when you arrive and choose a meeting place in case anyone gets separated. Lost and found is located inside the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce office at 10th and Main.
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, golf carts, and e-bikes are not allowed inside the festival area.
